Movie Summary
Roopa (Parveen Babi), a young, middle class Catholic girl, keeps writing love letters to herself. When Anju (Aruna Irani) taunts her about the letters and the invisible boy friend, Roopa is forced to take the help of Anoop Kumar (Randhir Kapoor) to make her friends believe that her boy friend is for real. But Anoop does not want to let go of Roopa. He has fallen head over heels in love with her. And slowly Roopa too starts loving Anoop. But the whirlpool (Bhanwar) of fate pulls the lovers into its coils. Friends turn rivals, obstacles crop up, unexpected twists of fate keep tearing the lovers apart. Will they ever unite? A light romantic, whirlpool of a movie.
