However, his plans are put on hold when a resident, Rajaram Dhappne (Sanjay Narvekar), files an FIR with the police. The news creates a stir amongst the residents, including Rajaram’s wife, Neelima, and son, Bandopanth, who do not want any conflict with the goons. They approach Rajaram to get him to withdraw the complaint, but he denies filing any complaint. Fearful nevertheless, he decides to lay low, but is compelled to not only deal with his landlord, as he is behind on his rent, but also with a clay-bust of his now deceased step-grandfather, Abaji, who appears before him and gifts him his magical spectacles that empower him to become any character from the book that he lays his eyes on.
