Movie Summary
Ajay (Sunil Dutt), the only son and heir of a rich, traditional Thakur family, loved Asha (Asha Parekh), the sister of Dr. Chibber. And Ajays mother also accepted her, wholeheartedly. Ajays mother felt that not only would Asha take up the responsibilities of running the huge household but would also prove an heir to the vast fortunes of the family. Seven years after the marriage, Asha was childless and Ajays mother dreams were about to be shattered. And to further add to the misery, Asha was blinded in an accident with a firecracker, totally darkening her world. Ajays mother was compelled to look for another wife for him, she could not see her family dying out for the lack of an heir. While Asha was ready to sacrifice anything for the happiness of her beloved.
