When the government announces quotas to increase women's political representation, Annasaheb, an MLA, for the last thirty years compels his intelligent daughter Vasudha to take over the mantle from him and continue so that nothing changes for him and his family. In due course of time Vasudha realizes that she is reduced to a mere puppet in the hands of her father and that she has no power as an MLA. When her wayward brother's atrocities increase, the family turns a blind eye. However, as Sameer Shinde, Vasudha's college friend, opposes, the family dosen't take it too kindly. Next, Sameer is murdered. It's then that Vasudha decides enough is enough. She vows to bring the killer to book, even if it means breaking all ties with her family. 'Ghara Baher' stunned the audiences & left them spellbound.
