Movie Summary
Gumsoom' is basically story of love and sacrifice. Ganga and Paro are sisters, Ganga is dumb from birth and she does not mix with anyone for her dumbness. Paro is in love with a black smith Shankar. Dharmdas is the village chief, money leader, the god father of villagers. But actually Dharmadas is a notorious man who lusts for every woman. One day Dharamdas gets an opportunity and raps Ganga. Then he warns her that if she tells any one, then whole family will be massacred. Ganga gets pregnant, Paro finds no other way to save her sister and spastic father rather than decides to sacrifice her love. She asks her lover Shankar to marry Ganga and save the honor of the family.Does Shankar agree and how does the decision affects the lives of all concerned?
