Wake up Singh is family drama movie about the increasing culture of drugs in youth of Punjab. Lead Gursevak Singh (Played by Gagandeep Singh) belongs to a religious upper class Sikh family who lives the life of an ideal son and is popular amongst this friends in college. His love Simran (played by Simply Singh) is an elegant girl and adds to glamor quotient of the movie. As story progresses, one of Gursevak’s friends gets into the habits of drugs supplied by one of the leading drug deals Bunty (played by Vikram Kumar). His addiction leads to his death and Gursevak is deeply disturbed and pledges to take revenge from Bunty by destroying all his drug selling points. During a gang war he looses his voice. The religious values and support from his father (played by Manmeet Singh) keep him going and he devotes his time for “sewa” in Gurudrwara.Later the he is blesses by gurus and goes back to his mission of drug free Punjab. The movie story deals with Donsai, the heir to Dhanraj Empire. Donsai is extremely against marriage; and believes one should never ruin his life by getting married. After the passing of his father, Suraj Rattan Dhanraj, the only way to inherit his father’s five billion empire company, is to get married to his friend’s Punjabi daughter, Samarpreet. Donsai gets married in Punjab, and tells Samarpreet that he will return to Punjab after three months of business, though Donsai plans not to come back. After three months, Samarpreet comes to Donsai’s home to look for him, where she finds him with another woman. She runs out crying, until she is hit by a car. The car owner, Shimmer picks her up, and takes Samarpreet to her home. When they get to Shimmer’s home, it turns out Shimmer is one of Donsai’s best friends. After Samarpreet gains consciousness, she tells Shimmer everything Donsai did to her. Shimmer decides to help Samarpreet, and gives her a complete makeover. She even changes her name to “Samara”. After Donsai sees Samara (not knowing that it is his own wife), he falls in love with her, and asks her out. Shimmer tells Samara to reject him, which she accepts. Donsai then meets her at an yacht, where the two begin an conversation, and slowly Donsai decides to get married to her. At the same time, Shimmer’s plan is ruined, due to her boyfriend Pawan Raj Gandhi arriving unexpectidly for Karwa Chauth. In fact, Kajal’s uncle was paid to lie to Ajay and Madhu.Ajay and Madhu break up with Kajal and Raja, and the fathers’ plan to create a rift between Ajay and Raja, once the best of friends, succeeds. The situation worsens further when Ajay and Madhu think that Kajal is pregnant with Raja’s child. They tell Raja and Kajal that they are getting married, which is what their fathers wanted all along. After hearing this, Kajal attempts to kill herself, but Raja stops her. Raja attacks Ajay and Madhu while they are in a car mobile. The movie story deals with Raju a tenant of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte aka Babu Bhaiyya and has not paid his rent for a long time. Raju does not believe in hard work and wants to earn easy money. He cons everybody, even his mother, who thinks that her son works in Calcutta. Baburao, a bespectacled long-sighted man, runs the “Star Garage”.
