Movie Summary

A 23-year-old Bihari migrant Ram Bharose Pandey (Amit Sadh) and his whiz-kid Sardar friend, Serabjit Sidhaana aka ‘Cyberjeet’ (Arsh Bajwa), strike upon an ingenious brainwave of starting a website that helps young couples in Amritsar elope and get married. The website offers a comprehensive array of services to facilitate runaway weddings. The website becomes an instant hit with young love-struck couples facing parental opposition and the site becomes a rage in small-town Amritsar.While they are successful in getting many couples together, the underlying story of Running Shaadi is the love story between Bharose and his ex-employer’s daughter, Nimmi (Taapsee Pannu). What happens with the site and their love story along with the absurdities of making people elope, is told as the film unfolds.
